One More Bike

I really shouldn't test ride the bikes that get dropped off as donations to Bike Works. Dan Boxer pointed out that this one has a little ding in the top tube. I had Kathleen at Free Range come up with a price for it and I'm employee purchasing it.

Suntour Superbe Brakes.

Suntour Barcons.

Shimano Deer Head Deore Derailleurs ("for alpine gearing").

Erickson Touring Frame.

It's pretty freekin' sweet.

  1. Kent, how are you going to keep selling speed cruisers now that you have forsaken the genre? I agree that sport touring bikes rock speed cruisers all over the map, but man, exercise some rhetorical and lifestyle discipline!

Nah, that's a pretty bike. I'd get it myself if I could. Nice find.

Looks seriously familiar...there's a good chance that bike was new whne I worked at R & E, back in '84 or '85. Probably had fenders painted to match at that point, too. Vary nice. Val

  7. Nice discovery, Kent... but those fenders look suspiciously store-bought and elegant. Where's the Coroplast? :-)

Hey, what are ya using for mudflaps? Alex's leftovers, or possibly old tires?

  10. The mud flaps are made from old tires.
