Kinetic Sculpture
This must be the week for odd human-powered vehicles to cross my path. I spotted this machine on my commute home along Lake Washington Boulevard in Seattle. I'm thinking it'll probably be up at Port Townsend in a couple of weeks.
Did you try hefting it at all? I'm wondering what kind of gearing you would need to move something like that if it was heavy along with the friction from the tires.

I am the perpetrator of the pictured beast...That's A Mower, Eh? The foam 'bricks' are for water stability... the big tires tend to over stress the back axel, & broke..again..that's why we left it on the bikepath. Google 'Whymcycle' and you'll see more of my mind's creations..the links before me show some... we'll be back next Fall..
I chatted with these folks at Seward Park. These are amphibious -- tires provide flotation!

Ya I was going to say I think I saw that beast at Burning Man this year...very cool...made my Pugsley look puny!
