And I know Elizabeth--she married a childhood friend of my son. And then I met Jolene recently in person (I live near Eugene and somehow came across her on twitter through a RT by someone) and when she started to talk about a typewriter, I said, "Oh, YOU'RE the one who gave the typewriter to Kent." Small, kind bike world.

@sallyhuntSallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05701761310715995535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18676999.post-87755812912087577532013-09-11T02:32:28.212-07:002013-09-11T02:32:28.212-07:00Great story Kent.

Actually, I'm halfway between that and the Pope factory, where Columbia and Hartford bicycles were made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. My typewriter is an Underwood, also made in Hartford. Bike Walk Connecticut's office is in the old Underwood factory, which still stands. Bike/typewriter connections abound!Chrishttp://dailyriderbike.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18676999.post-75306664468418696112013-08-20T19:26:32.111-07:002013-08-20T19:26:32.111-07:00Great story! I dip a needle in the bottle and carefully apply it. Then let it sit for a few minutes and wipe off the excess. Try the key again, if it still sticks repeat and wiggle gently while it soaks in. Then wipe clean. Good Luck!Bettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06506007606138214328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18676999.post-57251979797445417332013-08-20T13:37:48.466-07:002013-08-20T13:37:48.466-07:00I really enjoyed the read!!!
